Contract packer

A contract packer or co-packer packages products that it has not manufactured itself.

Advantages of working with a contract packer

  • flexible use of specialised personnel and specialised machines ;
  • knowledge of different packaging techniques and machines ;
  • ideal for coping with production peaks ;
  • customer does not invest in machines itself.

Which packaging techniques do contract packers offer?

  • Repacking

    The co-packer packs products in other quantities. Or puts different products together in a new packaging (for example different sorts of beer in a beer pack).

  • Blisters

  • Putting together promotional gift sets

    The co-packer produces promotional packs (for example, for end of year parties). The materials are delivered in bulk and then put together in sets.

  • Flow pack

  • Stickers, coding, (re)labelling

    Often used for promotions or other sales campaigns. These activities are also referred to as customization.

  • Shrink-wrapping and bundling

    The co-packer puts shrink-wrapping around the product. This is then shrunk by heating in a shrink tunnel. A message can be printed on the shrink foil. Often used for relatively small products, such as bars of soap or for very long products like curtain rails.

  • Set up and fill displays

  • Fill according to number or volume

    The co-packer counts, weighs and packs (for example, screws are put into little boxes).

  • Fill bag packaging

  • Hand packaging and/or assembling

    The co-packer puts a product together and packages it. Or assembles packaging (for example, a cardboard box is given a suspension eye and covered with a transparent sleeve).

  • Applying anti-theft stickers
